In August the building of a new classroom started at Olmuringiringa Primary thanks to the donations from John Collard and friends from East Kilbride, Scotland, £3,000 GBP and the clients of Tourcan Vacations, Canada, $1,000 USD. The clients, who came to climb Kilimanjaro, visited the school and also gave money for 10 desks.
Another Canadian visitor, Gail Cope, organized her friends and family to buy another 12 desks. The classroom was completed in October.
At a graduation ceremony at the school the parents and local officials thanked ACT and the donors for their great efforts.
ACT plans to build two teachers houses for the school.
